IMPACT by AslıÇetin

Born in Aydin, 1978. Graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Department of Urban and Pegional Planning in 2000 and got her master degree from Izmir Institute of Technology in Industrial Design with her thesis ‘Applying Design Methods on Medical Product Design Process – Case Study on Treatment Products for Home Use’. Worked in a design office between 2001-2002 and between 2002-2005 she worked as research asistant in IIT. In 2006 she started with her PhD in ITU Department of Industrial Design which she still continues. She lives in Izmir and works in Izmir University of Economics as research asistant.

about project

IMPACT originates from the embracing behaviour of Istanbul . It references Istanbul accepting very different beings in itself and six same sized pieces emphasizes that these beings are valued and embraced equally. It builds a subsidiary relationship emphasizing the city building its integrity over these different units.
